The origin of Santa Fe dating back to the time of the conquest, when Vasco de Quiroga founded, along with 120 heads of family nahua and otomi, a hospital in the suburbs of the mexican capital, to which he gave the name of Santa Fe of the Natural.
For decades, we extracted sand, but never in accordance with a program of exploitation ordered to maintain the stability of the soil and the ecology of the place.
The area of controlled development of Santa Fe covers an area of 850 hectares, located in the northwest of the City of Mexico, between the limits of the municipalities Álvaro Obregón and Cuajimalpa.
Of the 850 hectares that make up the ZEDEC Santa Fe, 200 are allocated to housing developments. In this area, for any reason, it allows the installation of industry.

Calakmul® —maya name meaning City of the Mounds Adjacent— takes inspiration from the ancient maya city in Campeche. Its architecture pays homage to a symbol ancient like the Hunab-Ku, figure cube with a central circle used in astronomical calculations, and the pyramid Balam-Ku, offering the Jaguar god.
The building revolves around a large square, presided over by an obelisk, which represents the Ya'axché, sacred tree that connects the underworld with the sky. In the underground levels is Bolom-Ti-Ku, evoking the gods of the underworld, and a tunnel sacred calling Balakbal, which joins the acropolis with the occult.
The garden is designed as a mayan calendar living, with 20 ahuehuetes and 13 mounds, in harmony with the world view of the ancients.
At Calakmul® the use of natural light in workspaces improves psychological well-being, regulates the circadian rhythm, and promotes contact with the outdoors. It also reduces eye strain, prevents accidents, enhances performance, and helps save energy by reducing the use of artificial lighting.
Calakmul® Art as Architecture, features a ventilation system that performs at least 15 full air exchanges per hour. It draws in fresh air through MERV8 filters, purifies it with UV-C lamps, and maintains comfortable humidity and temperature conditions (21–22 °C). The system ensures even distribution with appropriate diffusers and can be adjusted according to the needs of each area. Additionally, it expels all indoor air outside, without recirculation..
Calakmul® Art as Architecture, incorporates dual technology supported by studies conducted prior to installation. The first prevents glare and ensures a shadow-free design, regardless of furniture layout or user location. The second involves the use of energyefficient and long-lasting luminaires.
Calakmul® Art as Architecture, as a high-tech building, includes acoustic insulation systems that ensure a work environment free from distractions caused by external or internal noises or conversations. This enhances concentration, prevents hearing disorders, and reduces discomfort or disturbances.
Calakmul® Art as Architecture, features furniture that complies with current regulations and best ergonomic practices, ensuring that employees can perform their duties without adopting postures that cause long-term physical harm. Additionally, the design is tailored to the specific needs of each workstation, ensuring comfort and efficiency.
At Calakmul® Art as Architecture, finishes are selected for their low environmental impact and safety. Carpets are antibacterial and flame-resistant, and materials come from suppliers with sustainability certifications.
Our offices comply with accessibility regulations, allowing unrestricted access and mobility for people with disabilities. The design includes ramps, elevators, and adapted restrooms, as well as spacious areas that facilitate movement with wheelchairs or other assistive devices.

Arrive by combining Metro and RTP routes. The nearest stations are Auditorio (Line 7) and Observatorio (Line 1), both with direct connection to Santa Fe.
The fastest combination is Metro Auditorio (L7) + RTP via the dedicated lane. Available from 6am–11pm, with a 10-minute frequency during rush hour.
RTP routes connect Santa Fe with multiple points across the city using dedicated lanes. The most affordable and direct option to reach Calakmul®.
The RTP dedicated lane on Vasco de Quiroga reduces travel time by up to 40% during rush hour. We recommend the Moovit app for real-time schedules.
The Mexico–Toluca Interurban Train "El Insurgente" has been fully operational since February 2, 2026. Santa Fe Station is the closest stop to Calakmul®, just a few minutes walking along Vasco de Quiroga Ave.
Schedule: Mon–Fri 5:00am–12:00am · Sat 6:00am–12:00am · Sun 7:00am–12:00am. Payment with Integrated Mobility Card (CDMX) or QR code at ticket office. 10-minute frequency during rush hour. Fare: $15–$100 depending on the route.
Santa Fe offers excellent accessibility from Periférico, the Toluca highway, and the major boulevards in western Mexico City.
Waze destination: “Calakmul Santa Fe”. Avoid Periférico between 8–9:30am. The smoothest access is via westbound Vasco de Quiroga.
Calakmul® supports green mobility with infrastructure for cyclists and pedestrians: covered bike parking, showers, and direct pedestrian access.
Cyclists have priority access to covered parking and lockers. Every bike commute adds points to the building’s ESG program.
